Jingle's tail swished as he looked at the computer in front of him. What exactly was he supposed to do..? It was currently in pieces in front of him, with a manual next to it. He shot Daemon a skeptical look before picking up a part to examine it. It was a tiny chip, a little smaller than one of his claws. This was all very confusing... There were so many different PIECES and PARTS! "Remember everyone! Be sure to ask questions and refer to the manual if you're stuck!" Daemon's voice came from the front of the class. Jingle found the Crook intimidating. Given, he was like 8x bulkier, but still. Jingle cast a glance at the Crook next to him. Killter! He knew them! Jingle had spent the festival showing off tricks and dazzling those attending, but as the sun dipped below the horizon he grabbed the hand woven basket he made specifically for seed gathering. His bells jingled as he ran towards where the seeds would be drifting down. There he stood for a few minutes, chatting with Chime, who liked magic just as much as he did. The two seemed to get along well as they discussed magic, their favorite tricks, and other magicians. Soon they saw the tree begin to bloom, a chorus of “ooohs” and “aahs” from the crowd around them. The seed pods burst, sending hundreds of little seeds out into the air. As everyone scrambled to catch them, Jingle and Chime both managed to catch a few in their baskets. “Look how cute these are! They’re so tiny!!” Jingle laughed, holding out his basket to show Chime. “They are! Imagine how cute the sprouts will be.” Chime replied, looking down at her own basket of seeds. It had surprised the jester CCCat; the way the plants sprung up upon placing the artifact on the shrine.His tail bells jingle as he looks around at the new flora. “Woah…” Jingle breathed. So many strange flowers he’d never seen. What would he do first? After some pondering he set off towards what he assumed was an orchard. There were so many new fruits here! He plucked one off a low-hanging branch and sniffs at it before taking a bite. It tasted like a mango and papaya hybrid. So, he grabbed a few more before continuing on his walk. The sun was low in the sky, casting a golden glow on the garden. Maybe he should set up somewhere for the night? He padded over some mossy rocks to come upon a creek. A tree with arching roots covered with hanging ivy was nearby. He could set up there for the night! He ducked his head as he stepped inside, setting his fruit down. Hello! I see you're all interested in what little ol' me has to say about this book here! "Magic Tips and Tricks For Experienced Magicians", I borrowed it right from the Compendium during my last visit. It details the tricks and secrets of MANY magicians over the years, explaining a few of their main tricks. Some of them I’ve attempted myself, but some are way too dangerous for someone of my skill level to attempt. Borrow seemed a little uneasy about me taking the book with me, since it’s pretty important, but he agreed after I promised to take great care of it! This trick here is my favorite! Escaping from a tank of water while handcuffed and blindfolded. I’ve only tried it while handcuffed, but maybe once I get better I can add the blindfold too. This other one here is a knife throwing trick! The next page or so explains how to hold and throw the knife, which is… Very important if you’re not trying to hit your assistant. As Jingle made his way along the trail, leaving after another visit, an earth-shaking roar made him freeze. “That.. doesn’t sound good.” He mumbled as he turned and ran back up the path, occasionally slipping. He burst through the door, ears perked up. “What is THAT!?” He screeched, looking at Borrow who was hiding behind the podium. The creature looked like it was going to go after the moth CCCat, so he swished his tail to get its attention before taking off running. It dove after him, roaring. What did he have to help out in this situation… Hmm… Smoke balls! He had smoke balls! Jingle pulled it out from under his cap and chucked it into the monster’s mouth as he dove behind a shelf. Turning, he gave Borrow an angry “Wtf” gesture, to which the other threw his hands up at. The smoke bomb only stopped the monster temporarily as it swatted the smoke away, screeching furiously. It turned to look for Borrow. “Get BACK here!” It bellowed, looking for the CCCat. Borrow was scrambling away
